Chapter 150

An enormous force slammed into Ciara, knocking the wind right out of her. She was flung from the bed and as her body crashed into the wall, she crumpled into a heap on the floor.

Deafening roars and the sound of flesh ripping assaulted her ears and she closed her eyes, huddled into a heap and prayed like she had never prayed before.

The sickening smell of blood filled the night air. Crazed vampires clawed at each other, ripping flesh with their fangs. The fighting seemed endless.

A thud brought with it an eerie silence and Ciara turned her eyes towards the vampire lying so closely towards her.

Amber lights seeped from the staring eyes. The gaping mouth fought for air but was denied as his snapped trachea shuddered and blood pooled on the floor beneath the mangled mess of flesh that was his throat only moments ago.

Death came in a strangled gurgle.

“Meli...” Cold fingers touched her, breaking her panicked stare locked on the withering body so close to her on the floor.

Strong hands pulled her upwards, as her nakedness brushed against cold, sticky wetness, she focused for the first time.

There was so much blood, it was everywhere, on his hair, his face, down to his chest. He was cloaked in it!

“Its over now. He will never hurt you ever again.” A trembling hand pushed her head to his chest.

“You…you killed your brother for me?”

“I will move the earth for you Meli. Anyone who means your harm will die by my hands even if its my own flesh and blood…” His arms locked around her.

Ciara didn’t fight, standing frozen to the spot, she swallowed at the bile rising from her throat. Xander suddenly stumbled backwards.

“I apologise little one. I feel lightheaded. I think I lost a lot of blood.” His hand fell from her hair. “Please help me to your room and into the shower. I need to get his stench off me.”

She obeyed silently. Thankful for rescuing her she felt real concern for him for the first time since they’ve met.

“You make me weak with your feelings of concern for me, Meli. It brings me feeling of hope...” He stood warily as she peeled the bloodied, ripped clothes from his body.

“Oh my God! Xander! Your wounds are so deep and your throat!”

A soft laugh tripped from his lips.

“I’ll be ok. I need to get clean and then I need some good, strong blood.” A glow lit up from the crimson orbs and Ciara knew what it meant. She nodded feebly.

It took Ciara a while to cleanse him of all the blood and when they finally stepped from the shower he was a pale, shuddering mess.

Ciara wrapped herself in a towel, turning towards him she did the same with his trembling frame, helping him towards the room.

He sagged onto the bed, his breathing laboured, his expression pained.

Ciara was about to move from between his thighs when she was tumbled onto the bed. The weak vampire’s strength proved to be just as overpowering and she stilled beneath him.

“I’m sorry Meli but I need to heal and your blood is strong...forgive me.” The last few words were spoken against her jaw. His lips traced towards the vein he knew was ticking wildly by now. A quick lick was followed by a deft slice of fangs.

His feeding was slow but quickly built into a strong, greedy suckling, his hands pushed her shoulders into the mattress, keeping her there.

Ciara felt herself dip in and out, her mind woozy, her limbs tingling.

Xander’s fangs extracted from her neck, he noticed her languid movements.

“I have taken too much! Please forgive me my love.”

Ciara felt herself been shifted on the bed, a sheet was pulled over her, her body shielded by a male frame snuggling tightly against her back.

Blackness swirled around her and she sank into it, letting it claim her.

~~

Ciara woke to the smell of fresh bread and crispy bacon, mixed with a tinge of brewed coffee.

“I knew it would wake you up.” The soft, male laugh opened her eyes.

“Xander! Are you feeling better?”

“I’m perfect. You on the other hand had to suffer my greediness again. You are pale as death!” His hand brushed her brow. “And so hot!”

Ciara felt a blush riding high on her cheeks. Her body was aching, her core pulsed impatiently, insisting its release.

“Don’t feel embarrass by your body’s natural urges, Agapi mou. Enepsigos’ blood is running in your veins and you have to embrace what you feel, what you are destined for.” His voice was smokey , his lips so close to her.

Ciara reached up, pushing her fingers through the dark hair at his nape, she brought his mouth down to hers. Her mouth was hot and demanding on his, her tongue swept along his lips and she whimpered as his mouth opened. His tongue snaked from his cool mouth, spearing the soft recesses of her mouth, taking the control from her.

The sheet was pushed aside; his raging body crushed hers into the mattress. She was liquid flame in his arms, her hips rubbed hungrily against his aching erection, her thighs moving restlessly.

“Theé mou! Pó̱s lachtaroúsa gia af̱tí̱ ti̱ stigmí̱! (Oh God! How I longed for this moment!)”

Ciara’s hands tugged at his hair, her back arched hungrily, her gaspy moans stroking heat across his skin.

Xander’s cool hands stroked her heated skin, lifting her nightgown above her ribcage, he nuzzled at her tiny navel, his tongue mapping cool paths over her skin. Inching her panties lower, she gasped wantonly, her hips lifting from the bed.

Xander’s scalp was pulsing from her incessant tugging, blood rushed through her veins, her heart drumming in his ears. Her surrender and white hot passion seemed too much for Xander and he found himself sinking his fangs into her soft flesh right above her panty line.

He took quick draws from the pulsing vein, his fingers hooked her panties, pulling it down.

The burning sensation opened Ciara’s eyes and she swept her eyes lower, the dark head was so intimately close to her burning womanhood.

Xander felt her stilling beneath him and he raised his head. Blood trickled down the side of his mouth, his eyes flashed burgundy sparks.

Passion seeped from her slumberous eyes…

“Ciara…don’t…”

“Oh God! What am I doing?!”

She was hot, panting, the ache between her thighs was unbearable but it wasn’t him! How could she?!

A cry slipped from her lips and she jumped from the bed, rushing towards the bathroom, she slammed the door shut, turning the lock. Sinking down onto her knees she burst into noisy, heartbreaking tears.

She had expected him to follow but he never did and when she opened the door a good while later she was alone. Her loneliness wrapped around her still form, chilling her blood.

Ciara turned towards the cupboard, her mind made up.

~~

Ciara found him in his study. He was fully clothed but his hair was still as her hands left it, unruly.

He looked up at her pale, tear swollen face. A flash of emotion crossed his dark eyes.

“Please go. I’m not in the right frame of mind right now. I cannot be held responsible for what I might do to you.”

“You won’t hurt me Xander.” Her soft voice pierced his breaking heart.

His face sagged into his hands, his body heaved as he drew in a huge gulps of oxygen and shuddered as he exhaled.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. I thought I could make you love me but every time I make love to you, he holds you back. I know exactly how he looks, his voice, even the way he smiles and the dark cobalt his eyes turn into when he looks at you. Yes Meli, he is that vivid in your mind.”

Ciara moved silently towards him.

“Xander…I’ve made my decision.” Her eyes darted nervously towards his face. “Jon is a part of my past. I see it now. I want this to work between us…Xander!” She hadn’t even seen him move. She was spun around. His hands cradled her face, his eyes searching earnestly for the truth in her eyes. He found it.

“You just made me the happiest man on the face of this earth! I will make you happy, little one.”

A tiny smile broke on her face.

“All I ask from you is to be patient with me, I need time to uuhh…get over him.…now kiss me.”

A pained groan ripped from deep down as he crashed his mouth hungrily against hers.

She gave into his unleashed passion willingly, her mind clear.

She felt her feet left the ground as he lifted her from the floor, carrying her slowly, he backed her into the desk, lifting her to welcome him in between her thighs.

His head dipped towards her aching breasts, his fingers molding their fullness.

A ringing phone brought his head up.

“Shit! I think its my ride.”

“Don’t answer it. Not now, please.”

His laughter stroked her oversensitive skin.

“I’m sorry precious but I have to go. I have a very important meeting with a client this morning and I’m going to be late as it is.” He reached for the phone.

“Tha eímai dexiá éxo̱. (I’ll be right out.)” His curt response cut across the line. Slamming the phone down, he turned towards her again.

Giving her a mind blowing kiss he stepped back.

“I’ll see you tonight Meli. Be ready for me ok?”

She nodded quickly, licking her lips she smiled as he groaned hungrily, against them.

“Tonight cannot come quick enough for me.”

“Me neither.” She whispered.

Chapter 149

Ciara sagged onto the bed. Finally rid of all her make up and pins in her hair, she was working some lotion into her hands when she felt her heart jump.

Was her body’s instinct sharper than her ears?

Turning her head towards the cool breeze wafting the scent of rain to her nostrils, she waited, listening.

A sudden flash brightened the night outside and Ciara heard her own shocked cry in her ears.

“Hello again Sweetheart.” Glimmering amber shone from the dark.

“What are you doing here?”

Ciara was frozen to the spot, her limbs were paralyzed with fear.

The brooding vampire stepped into the room, Ciara stopped breathing.

“My brother was always the aristocrat, tied down by his idiot ideas of belonging to the coven. It will be his downfall one day you know. Just like tonight, look at what he is missing...” His hand waved towards her and she felt her arms came up in embarrassment to cover the flimsy material, giving him an eyeful of female curves.

“Giorgos, you need to leave. If Xander comes back...”

“You and me both know it’s gonna take a while. So you and I have all the time in the world to have some fun and maybe even creating a tiny new vampire, what do you say?”

His movements were alarmingly swift and as she blinked he was right before her, looking down at her distressed face with a sensual look in his eyes.

A suggestion flicked in her mind...

He held out his hand and she took it.

“I remember that night when I first saw you. Your scent was driving me insane and that dress...God Almighty its a pity I had to destroy it with my uncontrolled passion.”

“P..p...passion? You almost killed me! That wasn’t passion that was a full blown assault.”

Two fingers stilled her accusations.

“Tsk tsk ...now..now Sweething, you have only yourself to blame for all that. You tried to run away, screamed like a teenage virgin about to be deflowered and well...your looks it was the whole package. Tonight we can really have some fun. You have reached your fertile state. Your body is drenched in your sweet scent. Your pupils are dilated with need...you cant deny it can you Ciara? You want to be made love to so badly, it hurts.” He brushed the high colour on her cheeks. “And you are so hot...I need to cool you down...” His hand snaked underneath her hair, cupping her nape, yanking her forward he slammed his mouth against hers, his tongue shoving inside her mouth, spearing the soft recesses.

Her nails clawed at his chest but to no avail, he was incredibly strong! His vigorous lovemaking kept hammering at her aching body.

Ciara’s mind was having a battle of its own. Her body was screaming for his touch, her insides coiled in anticipation yet her mind was frantic, trying to persuade her body to seize its ridiculous lusting.

Giorgos’s free hand snaked down to her buttocks, grabbing hold of one generous cheek, he forced her against him.

Her sensual squirming caught him by surprise and he lifted his mouth from her, staring down at her beautiful features.

He reached into her mind and grunted irritatingly.

Even in her fertile state she couldn’t just accept any male. Her bonded male’s blond hair and azure eyes loomed in his mind’s eye. Well if that’s what it takes to get her into his bed...

Both hands gripped her buttocks, lifting her to straddle his hips he headed towards the satin bed.

Dropping her onto the bed she opened her eyes and stared into the stormy, liquid amber. The face was anything but the one she was craving and reality hit hard.

“No!” She squirmed away from him but he was quicker and as he grabbed her by the ankles he yanked..hard.

“Not so fast Ciara. I’m not done yet...First I need to taste that nectar of yours.”

He lunged towards her like a panther. A tore ripped through the night and Ciara knew, her nightdress had suffered the brunt, just as her neck would in a few moments.

His weight was nauseating, spearing flashes of that night in her mind, playing it over and over like an old movie.

His hands moulded her sensitive breasts, every touch scraped along her skin, causing her unbearable throbbing.

Ciara’s wild kicking and crying seized when his cruel fangs tore at her neck. Her nails sliced into his shoulders, trying to push him off her.

His satisfied grunts as he drew from her vein, sickened her but she couldn’t chase the wild pulse from her core and she scrunched her eyes shut, wishing for it to end.

His fangs extracted from her flesh, his breath tickled her skin, popping goose bumps all over.

“Its only the beginning little darlin’...Fuck...have I told you that you’re taste is like nothing I’ve tasted before? Daaammmnnnn” His lips puckered at her neck just before he sliced into her again.

Giorgos hips undulated against her pelvis as he fed, his free hand roamed her curves, skimming her hips he bunched the tattered night dress up around her thighs.

His fingers toyed with her panties and one hard yank had her panties on the floor.

“Giorgos please!”

“Begging for it already? I’m better than I thought.” His evil laugh grated her ears and she whimpered.

He pushed himself onto his hands, staring down at her, he watched as her tears streamed down her face.

“Tears doesn’t work on me Ciara. You cant fool me. Your mind says no and your body...darling...your body screams yes...yes...YES!”

“You know I cannot control my body. I will never give my body freely, what you take tonight you will have to take forcefully.”

“Now that sounds like a challenge. I like challenges...I like a woman with some fire in her.” His hands bit into the softness of her fleshy thighs as he forced them apart.

Jesus! He is going to rape me!

A vicious snarl from the patio froze the weight pushing her into the mattress.

“You son of a bitch.” Xander’s voice spewed venom.

Giorgos flashed to his feet. Ciara cringed at the coldness swooping through the air.

Xander’s flaming eyes swung towards Ciara’s naked body on the bed, taking in the ripped nightdress and the torn scrap of material resembling her lacy panties. She knifed upright, trying to cover her modesty and Xander felt hatred for his brother snapped into place.

“I welcome you into my home and this is how you treat my future wife?” The two vampires circled each other, their fangs bared.

“History repeats itself doesn’t it dear brother?” Giorgos’ sarcastic laughter rang in Ciara’s ears.

“Not this time. You will not get to take her from me. This time you will die.”

With the sheet covering her, she watched big eyed as the two brothers exchanged hateful words.

“You couldn’t keep Eiron happy. So I stepped in. At least I made her happy just a pity...”

“Just a pity she died? You killed her!” Xander was beside himself.

“I didn’t kill her, she wasn’t strong enough to bear my child.”

“She was MY wife! You had no right!”

“She wanted something you couldn’t give. Wait! Have you told her that?” His amber light swivelled her way. “Did he tell you?” He advanced towards her.

“How would we ever know that I couldn’t give her a pure breed? You stuck your dick into her even before I could have a chance.”

“That my dear brother, is because you are married to the coven and not your women. You decided to go away to meet your precious vampire coven and leave you wife to fend for herself, fighting her ripening. How many times Xander? How many God damn years did you do that? I was the one comforting her, easing her aching body with mine. But this time I wont wait that long. I will not make her suffer as long as Eiron did. Doesn’t her scent drive you crazy, turning you insides into tight knots?” He tipped his head back sniffing the air.

Ciara scampered further from them. Two aroused vampires were asking for shit and she was like a damn mouse cornered with two hungry cats. Just as she blinked she felt a swirl of coldness towards her and she screamed.

Giorgos’s whispered in her ear, one hand kept her captive against his frame, the other brushing her hair from her neck.

“You see brother...like putty in my hands.” Ciara whimpered as a warm tongue licked at her neck. “Have you told Xander of our rendezvous that night? I almost had her but her mate’s senses were quite tuned in and he found her before I could make her mine.”

“He almost killed you. I wish he had!” It was her turn to spit venom.

A heavy hand came down on the side of her face and she cried out, feeling the sting burning her cheek.

“ One thing we have to change about you is your disrespectful manner. But we have all the time in the world. So are you going to join me, kill me or watch?” His eyebrow flicked heavenwards, his taunting smile directed at his brother.

The hand that had just caused her pain slipped towards the sheet covering her breasts, with one yank her breasts were exposed to two sets of flashing irises.

“You were always the weak one Xander. The oldest but the weakest.” When his hand reached the peak of her breast, he flicked his thumb over the rosy nub.

“So what is it gonna be brother?” Ciara shuddered when his fangs scraped the fragile slope of her shoulder.

Chapter 148

Ciara took a delicate bite out of her dessert cake. The males were keeping conversation in their tongue and only turned to English when they addressed her.

Ciara tipped the glass slightly, her hand trembled and she swallowed quickly but Xander’s eyes missed nothing and his eyes flashed in concern.

“Are you ok Agapi mou?” His hand rested on her scorching hand.

“Could you please excuse me? I feel unwell.”

Giorgos lowered his wine glass slowly, staring over the rim of his glass he smiled that wicked smile of his.

“You must excuse my brother he hasn’t been in close proximity with an Enepsigos in her fertile state in...what brother...100...150 years? He hasn’t remembered that you can get quite ...uuuhh... uncomfortable in the presence of any males during this time.”

The dark warning in Xander’s eyes didn’t faze his sibling in the least.

He nonetheless stood up, holding out his hand towards her.

“I’m afraid my brother is right Meli. Please forgive my ignorance. I’m sure Giorgos will excuse me if I escort you to your room?”

Giorgos nodded and took a swig out of glass again.

“Goodnight Giorgos.”

“Goodnight Ciara. If you don’t hurry back I’ll understand completely my brother… ”

She could feel his eyes bore into her back as they walked out.

“Why are you so emotional, Meli? Your thoughts are all over the place and you are afraid of my brother...”

“Maybe its just this whole transition thing messing with me.” How could she tell him that...

“Tell me what?”

Ciara stilled for a moment.

“Nothing...really. Why don’t you join your brother? I’m going to get some rest....”

The door shut behind them. Pulling her into the room he backed up, both his hands entwined with hers.

“I ache to ease your pain. You don’t know how much...” The unadulterated longing in his voice plucked at her heart.

He came to a standstill in the middle of the room, his hands brushing her heated skin down her slim arms, his scarlet eyes following the trail of his touch. His big hands encircled her waist and with a slight tug she tumbled forward, knocking against his chest. Her palms flattened against the broad chest, his cool skin felt shocking against her blazing palms.

“This colour suits your skin perfectly.” The back of his hands glided upwards, the silk hissing as it brushed against his hands.

A hiss left his chest as he stepped back.

“I have to give you your birthday present.” His hand dug into his pocket and as it pulled out she felt her throat constrict as her eyes fell onto the tiny jewellery box.

“Xander you shouldn’t have...”

“Sshhh...let me do this the right way...” His thumb flicked the tiny box open, a diamond ring adorned with a huge emerald stone flickered in the light.

Xander went down on one knee, taking her left hand gently between his fingers, his crimson eyes sparkled up to her, adoration shining from his handsome face.

“Would you honour me by becoming my wife?” The whispered request hung between their poised bodies.

“Xander...” Tears pricked behind her eyelids as she closed her eyes.

“You are all I want. I promise to honour and love you till eternity. You’ll never want for anything. I’ll be your protector, your lover, your friend. Say yes O ángelós mou (my angel).”

Chasing the face with the glorious azure eyes from her mind, she opened her eyes.

“Yes, I will become your wife…” Her choke was lost in his chest when he crushed her to him.

Untamed passion was suddenly unleashed when Xander’s mouth crashed down onto her stunned lips. His body caged her in, overpowering her.

Ciara knew he could hear her heart drumming in her chest, her core was melting, her body said yes, her mind screamed no.

Tipping his head lower, his tongue traced her neckline just above the silk, her plush breasts pushed against the restraining blue, threatening to spill over.

Grabbing onto his shoulders she gasped as one hand slid towards her buttocks suddenly, slamming her lower body into his hips.

“Let me make love to you. My body needs you, just as you need mine.”

Cool night air filtered against her back as she felt the zipper of her dress inched lower.

“Xander...”

Ciara licked her dry lips, she was on fire. She couldn’t give into this instinctive urge! She just couldn’t!

Just as the thought crossed her mind, she was thoroughly kissed, brutally so.

Her body was relieved from the weight of the dress and she whimpered as she was lifted from the heap of material at her feet.

She was crushed into his frame, her feet just above the ground, submitting her completely under his mercy.

“You are weightless, so fragile...if I’m not careful I’ll crush you... God...just like a flower...” His voice was lost in between her breasts.

Her toes touched the lush carpet again, his dark head was so close to her face, if she wanted to she could touch the shining black mane..

“I want you to touch me...” his growl vibrated against her mounts.

She reached out and fingered the charcoal blackness. If only it was blonde...

His hands tightened cruelly against her back, his touch turned into cruel claws and she wiped the thoughts from her mind.

The back of Ciara’s legs bumped against the mattress. It took a slight shove from Xander to let her tumbled onto the mattress.

His body followed hers and for a moment the breath was knocked from her lungs.

“You touch drives me out of my mind, Meli. And as much as I want to stay here with you, sinking into you sweetness I’m afraid I cannot. I have some pressing matters to attend to. When I make love to you I want to drag it out for hours, tiring your mind and your body until you crave nothing else but my touch.”

“Are you going out?”Fear clawed at her.

“Yes Meli but don’t fret. My brother will remain here. You will be completely safe.”

He stood from the bed, adjusting his tight pants.

“Xander there is something that I need to tell you...”

“I’m afraid it has to wait, you’ve already made me late with your irresistible charms.”

She received a hurried kiss on the lips.” Wait up for me...or don’t I would like to wake you up myself...we need to celebrate your birthday properly. Just you and me...”

Ciara was suddenly alone.

Chapter 147

Ciara was thrown into yet another terrifying, sinister phantasm. Gripping the sheets, a blood curling scream tore from her throat. Her body was bathed in sweat, her body burning up with fever.

No amount of ice or drug could keep the awakening inside her to subside. She was a full blooded Enepsigos, craving the live giving source of her mate. Her body yearned for release only Jon could bring but there was no escape, no respite.

Xander’s senses were overwrought as his body soaked in her readiness. She was out of control, begging for blood, her hips rotated wantonly, beckoning him to ease the burn between her thighs.

“Jon? I need to feed....I need you...God please...its hurts...”

The burgundy of Xander’s eyes set the fire inside her alight and she moaned when his hand reached out to brush across her lips.

Why were Jon’s eyes another color? Passion?

With unbridled fury and passion mingled into one dangerous emotion he yanked her underneath him, ripping her nightgown to tatters he shuddered as her body arched gracefully, her burning hands scorched his skin, her nails ripping at his flesh.

Her face buried in his neck, her tiny rows of teeth sank into his skin hacking impatiently until she tasted his blood on her tongue.

“God Ciara!” He didn’t care that her teeth were too blunt to cut clean through, she was a squirming, mewling kitten in his arms, begging him for more. And more he will give.

Her mouth searched lower, nibbling the tight male nipples she purred as the pleasure she gave him vibrated through his chest.

Her thighs parted when his hands tugged the remains of the nightgown aside. The flames in her core were melting her insides, chasing a spasm of molten lava to the pit of her stomach.

A knock at the door shocked Ciara out of her reverie and she jerked as her eyes focused on the olive skin so close to her, his hands so intimately close.

“Xander?” Her palms had flattened against his chest, her eyes blinking wildly.

“Who else would it be? Jon? Not likely Meli.” His laugh was cruel above her. “ We’ll have to finish this later.”

He swooped from the bed, yanking the door open, Ciara gripped the sheet, covering her nakedness.

“Master. I apologise for the intrusion but you have a visitor.”

“Can’t it wait?” Ciara could almost see the poor servant cower at her master’s vicious snarl.

“He said its important Master.”

He flicked a quick look at the delectable woman on his bed, all bright eyes and wild haired.

“I’ll see you later Agapeemenee.”

The key turned in the lock.

Ciara let her mind wander to blue eyes and a devilish smile, to blond bangs and a raspy voice. Strong calloused fingers and a hard, suntanned chest... a longing groan escaped from deep inside her core....”Joooonnn”

~~

Jon’s stumbled over his words. None of the fans seemed to have noticed but the band did and they turned their eyes towards the sweating, hopping lead singer.

Was his mind betraying him? Was his heartache going to his mind, driving him insane or was it her voice calling out to him?

“What happened on stage bro’?”

“Ciara... I felt her. I don’t know what happened, its like she was inside me, touching me.”

“You know its her birthday today?”

He nodded.

“I’m going to find her Richie. I have to. Something happened to Chimala, I just fucking know it.”

“She could have ditched you, you know.”

“Not Chimala, not now. I just pray to God I get to Ciara it time.”

He didn’t need to say more. The sword was hanging above their heads since she disappeared.

Clasping his brother’s shoulder he spoke, trying to believe his own words.

“You will find her. Everything will work out just fine.”

~~

Ciara scrambled to a sitting position when the loud bang of the lock on the door echoed through the room.

She had refused to sleep, she couldn’t afford to find herself in the same position she was earlier but now she had to face him head on. Had he come back to finish where they started? What if she fell pregnant with him? Oh God! Will she have the strength to end her own life if this should happen?

The gentle voice of the servant girl collapsed Ciara’s coiled frame back into the sheets.

“Mistress? Are you awake?”

Her kind eyes brought a smile to her lips.

“The master has sent me to prepare you for your birthday dinner tonight. He requested that you wear this dress he bought especially for you.”

“Tell him I apologise but I don’t feel well. I’ll take my dinner in my room.”

“He expected you to make an excuse and insisted that you come. He has a very special guest he wants you to meet. Please mistress, do not wake the master’s anger. I will help you dress and do you hair beautifully. I’ll draw your bath.”

She fluttered hastily towards the bathroom.

An hour later Ciara found herself staring at a stranger, a red-cheek, beautifully dressed, stranger.

The servant girl sighed romantically.

“You look like a princess, mistress.” She grabbed another perfectly placed curl, placing it so it fell down the side of her cheek. “, The master will be satisfied.”

It was the rustle of her midnight satin dress that brought the two dark heads up moments later.

“Agápi̱ mou! You look breathtaking!” The chair grated backwards. His dark frame came towards her, his eyes smouldering, his fangs in full view. Bowing his head closer, he cupped her chin gently, settling his cool lips on her burning ones. She shuddered as his fangs scraped her sensitive lips.

“You’re so sensitive to my touch.” His thumb pad pressed lightly on her lower lip. His eyes sobered suddenly, the swirling burgundy morphed into a more subdued crimson. Turning towards the visitor blocked by Xander’s huge frame, Ciara felt her heart drop.

“Please meet my brother. Giorgos.”

Time stood still as she watched the raven black head of Xander’s sibling tipped his head backwards, sniffing the air appreciatively. His head turned and Ciara felt her nails dug into Xander’s palm.

“Giorgos, this is Ciara.” If he recognised her he didn’t show it.

“The name doesn’t do you justice Ciara. She is quite a catch my brother.” His glowing eyes closed her throat up. His fangs glistened in the electric light and Ciara suppressed a panicked cry as her thoughts went back to that night in the alley and those glinting fangs ripping into her flesh.

His fluent movements were quick and as she looked up she was staring into the face of her attacker.

“Please to meet you Ciara and if I may say so my brother, she smells divine. I hope it is in order to wish you a wonderful 28th birthday.”

His lips touched the back of her hand sensually and as his brother turned to pull out her chair she gulped as his tongue darted from his lips, lapping hungrily at her burning skin.

“Welcome to Greece, panémorfo (gorgeous). You couldn’t have chosen a better place to call home. You’re in good hands now.” Straigtening slowly, he led her to his awaiting brother.

Ciara couldn’t help but feel that she was smack bam in the midst of wolves, hungry wolves…

Chapter 146

Xander’s hands settled onto her shoulders, pushing the pink lacy gauze from her shoulders, she felt it skim her hips before it pooled at her feet.

He stepped closer, unwrapping the bloodied sheet from her neck, she expected to feel her blood rush down her breasts.

“See polýtima ángelé mou ( my precious angel)? My blood is strong, it healed your wounds.” His forefinger traced where the wound was just a half an hour earlier but his touching didn’t stop there, turning his palm he traced a slow path down her collarbone, over one breast then to its twin.

Ciara suppressed the shudder billowing in her core.

“What are you thinking Meli?” His hand cupped the side of her face. Closing her eyes she sagged her face into his hand, rubbing the side of her face gently in his palm. She refused to meet his gaze, he would read the lie there and that she couldn’t afford.

“Step into the bath.” His husky voice grated her ears.

She sagged into the rose scented water.

“Slow your heart rate, Meli. I wont hurt you. I have to apologise about hurting you earlier. I wasn’t thinking straight...”

“It’s ok.”

“Is that why you’re scared of me? If you don’t give me a reason, I will not hurt you…ever.”

She felt his hand dip into the water next to her hip. Grabbing hold of the sponge he squeezed letting the water cascade over her breasts.

“You’re beautiful Ciara...” his voice drifted off as the sponge plopped into the bath. The back of his hand brushed over a rosy nipple, dipping lower his hand stroked her ribcage...

Ciara sucked in her breath, how was she going to go through this without screaming the roof off?

“Is me touching you so bad Meli? It’s your birthday tomorrow, soon you will beg for my touch, you’ll crave it...”

“Xander...I’m not feeling well. I need to go to bed.”

He jumped to his feet, the snarl sizzling from his mouth jerked her pulse into her throat.

“My patience is running thin Ciara. Get out of the bath and get dressed before I do something I might regret.”

She waited for the slam of the door and the lock of the key before she slinked out of the bathroom.

~~

Jon cursed all the hounds of hell when he slammed the phone shut. Chimala hasn’t answered her phone. Did she go back on her word or was the woman not Ciara? What the hell should he do? Today was Ciara’s birthday and she needed him like never before!

“Jon! Sound check in five!”

“Yeah!” he dropped the phone on the table. After tonight he was going to look for her even if it kills him.

~~

Ciara groaned as she drifted back to consciousness. Was it her stiff muscles or something else that woke her up? The chair was really uncomfortable. The gasp on the bed answered the question for her.

“Chimala?” She knelt next to the bed. The curtains were drawn to keep the pesky sunlight from the pale body lying on the bed.

‘Ciara...” she held her hand towards her, Ciara took hold of the icy fingers, a foreboding rushing through her. “Xander is a dangerous vampire but I guess you know that by now. Don’t let him break your strong will, Jon will find you. He is not the type of guy that will let his girl go. You’re his girl...”, she gasped loudly, fighting for air.

“Shhh..you need your rest..”

Chimala placed the other cold hand on top of Ciara’s, a slight tug played on her lips.

“I have the whole of eternity to rest...I just want you to hang on to your love for Jon...keep him close, he will find you...and Ciara....happy birthday Sweetie.”

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she watched life seeped from the red haired vampire.

Ciara wasn’t sure how long she was sitting there but when Xander’s hand squeezed her shoulder she looked back at the grey skeleton on the bed. Gone was the beautiful woman with the feisty green eyes and firey red hair.

“She’s gone Meli.”

Ciara swung around, pounding his chest she screamed at him.

“It’s your fault! You killed her! You bastard! She didn’t do anything to you!”

He waited until she collapsed in an exhausted heap in his arms.

Stroking her curls, he soothed.

“It was no fault of my own, Agapeemenee. She invaded my home and made a fool out of me. We protect our mates till death. She overstepped the boundaries by disrespecting me, bringing you the blood of your previous mate. She paid for her indiscretion.”

“I’m not yours to protect! Im not your mate Xander...I ha...” she didn’t get any further, his mouth smothered the venomous words. Grabbing her wrist with one hand, he locked it behind her back, the other hand clamped at the back of her head, keeping her face upturned for his brutal kiss.

His eyes flickered dangerously as he stepped back, one wrist was still captured in his cruel touch.

“Happy birthday, Vasílissá mou (my Queen).”

There was a shuffle at the door.

“Master?”

“Xefortó̱sou ti̱n. (Get rid of her.)”

He flicked towards the corpse on the bed, turned and dragged Ciara behind him while the servants stared wide eyed.

Chapter 145

Ciara waited a few minutes longer after he left the room. Ripping a corner of the sheet, she tied it around her bleeding neck.
Ciara slipped from the bed inching towards the still body splayed unnaturally on the floor.

“Chimala?”

Something like a groan-growl slipped from the broken body.

Racing for the bed, she ripped another piece of material from the bed.

“Chimala, I’m going to help you. Let me try and stop the bleeding, ok?” The feral eyes flickered with pain.

“It…its not goo..ing to work. I’m dy…ing.”

“No! Please don’t say that! You’re a vampire, vampires don’t die!”

“Do you need blood? I can give you blood! See look, I’m bleeding..take it!” Ciara grabbed the woman under her armpits, dragging her towards the bed.

Winding the sheet from her neck, she leaned closer.

“Chimala, please take it…its only going to waste.” Chimala licked slowly at the wound but soon gave up as her body was racked with a gurgling cough.

“Why aren’t you getting better? You are suppose to heal!”

Chimala reached for the bloody sheet around her throat.

“He sev…vered my main artery…if I don’t get help…*cough* I will die…”

“Oh God!”

Ciara stumbeled towards the bedroom door, her energy was slipping fast.

Banging against the door, she cried pitifully.

“Xander..please for God’s sake help her! You can’t leave her like this! Xander.” She sagged onto her knees. “I’ll do whatever you want, just help her.” The last sentence breathed from her lips.

The lock was turned and there he stood. Freshly showered and as calm as if nothing had happened.

“You’ll do whatever I want huh?”

“You need to help her first.” She pointed towards the vampire suffering on the bed.

“And if she dies?”

“Then the deal is off.”

His eyes hardened for a fleet second. He moved towards the bed, rolling a sleeve upwards he hovered close to her lips.

“Drink.”

“Never.” Two pairs of feral eyes clashed. “I’ll rather die before…she is forced at your mercy.”

She turned her head away.

Ciara reached the bed with rubbery legs.

“Please do it for me Chimala.”

“I’m sorry Sweets…I have my pride.”

Xander suddenly slapped his thighs, makind Ciara jump.

“Well! She refuses, no fault of my own. So the deal stands.”

He came around the bed, as he neared her, he sliced his arm again.

“Your turn, Agapeemenee.”

“You know I get sick.” She clamped her lips together.

A cruel twist to her hair gave him just what he wanted and she cried out as his blood streamed down her throat.

His hand flipped around and he rubbed her throat cruelly forcing her to swallow.

“That’s it Meli, at least now you will recover. I cant say the same about your stubborn friend though.”

Ciara convulsed, the blood pushed its way up her throat.

Xander’s cold eyes locked on her distressed face.

“If you vomit, I’ll just have to do this all over again Agapeemenee.”

Ciara closed her eyes, forcing the bubbling blood back to her stomach.

She winced as he suddenly brushed a finger alongside her jaw.

“See? Its not so bad. Now let’s get this room clean.” His hand locked around her wrist, pulling her towards the door.

“What about Chimala? I want her to come with me, so I can tend to her.”

“Fair enough.” He marched her out of the room, taking her to her old room, he locked the door after he pushed her inside.

What seemed like hours, the lock turned and two servants came in with Chimala’s ragdoll body. Settling her onto the bed, they looked warily at their mistress covered in dark, caked blood.

“She is not going to survive her wounds mistress. The master had requested that we give you this potion to clean her wounds.”

Taking the vile, dressing and a wine glass filled with blood, she thanked them.

As the door locked again, she went to work on the still form. She couldn’t tell if she was alive but as the unknown contents of the vile touched her gaping wounds it started to bubble and she gasped painfully.

“I’m sorry..I’m just trying to help…”

“It’s ok.” The feline eyes shuttered close again, her lips were slightly apart, her fangs protruding past them.

Ciara sat back a few minutes later, the wounds were cleaned and new, proper dressing covered the ugly wounds.

“Now you need to drink, please Chimala, as much as you can.”

She lifted her head as gently as possible, pushing the wine glass between her lips, she tipped it slowly.

A few sips later Chimala sagged back into the sheets.

“Enough…I can’t….”

“It’s ok, we’ll try later.”

Chimala disappeared into her own world and Ciara caught her image in the mirror.

A wide eyed, rosy faced, bloodied woman stared back at her.

“Have you attended to your friend?”

Ciara jumped. He didn’t even bother to use the door…

“You need to get clean. The servants have prepared a bath for you…”

Knowing that going against him would prove futile, she nodded, following him silently as he unlocked the door. Twining his hand in hers he led her to his now clean bedroom.

Chapter 144

Chimala knew it was her even before she laid eyes on her. That scent could only belong to one person. Although it was tinged with the vampire hovering so close by, nothing could disguise her sweet scent.

Staring down at the suffering woman, she felt hatred grew for the vampire who allowed her to be in such pain. Did he really think she would be his while her bonded mate walked this earth?

The thought that he might plan to kill Jon shuddered through her and she pushed the thought from her mind.

Swallowing the bile working its way up her throat she turned towards the glowering vampire, bowing her head respectfully.

“My lord, we need to be left alone so I can treat your mate.”

At first she didn’t think he would allow, but he nodded his head silently, turned on his heel and left.

“My lord…could I request that no one disturbs us? I will call you when its done.”

“Very well.”

Chimala and Ciara were alone in the room.

“Ciara…..ssshhh…please pretent you don’t know me. I’m here to get you out of here. Will you let me help you?”

Her feverish eyes glinted with delirium.

“Is he here? You are not allowed to say his name. Xander will get furious. I’m thirsty, is he here? I need his blood…I need it.”

“He isn’t here but I have the next best thing…Ciara open your eyes. I need you awake for this sweetcakes.”

Her eyes drifted open.

“Chimala…you are really here. Is he here…we’re not suppose to ….”

“I know…I know we’re not allowed to say his name…”

“How did you know? Did Xander…where is Xander? Why are you here?”

“Xander asked the coven for help and they sent me. But you need to listen to me honey. Xander cannot know that we know each other, ok?”

“Ok, is he here?”

“No sweetie. He isn’t but he sent something with to help you feel better.”

“He doesn’t want to see me, does he?”

“He is waiting for you but in order to get to him you have to get stronger.”

Ciara cringed from Chimala.

“Don’t make me drink from him! It makes me sick.”

Chimala cradled the precious cargo in her hands, tipping it into a glass she held close to Ciara’s nostrils, swirling the dark, thick liquid.

“Smell it…hhmmmm doesn’t it smell good?”

As if she snapped out of her feverish hallucinations, she scooted into a sitting position, her hands reaching for the glass.

“Oh God! Is it really his blood? Oooohhhhhhmmmmm”

“Drink up sugar.”

Her first sip was tentative.

“It’s coooollldd.”

Chimala’s fangs flashed.

“Sorry girl there was no time to heat it up. The best I can do for now until you get it fresh from the vein.”

There was a flash in the dark, listless eyes.

“I don’t think he’d want me, \\not after this.”

“Oh he wants you alright, he wants you real bad.”

A comfortable silence stretch between them as she drank slowly.

She lowered the glass onto he thighs.

“I don’t want him to come here, Chimala promise me he wont come here. Xander will kill him, he is a stronger vampire.”

“I will not ask him to come unless its absolutely necessary. That’s all I can promise. The blood you just drank wont go far Ciara and tomorrow is your ripening. You need a shitload more where that came from.” She reached for the glass but she refused.

“Not yet…I’m not done yet”

She clutched desperately to her last connection to him. He seemed so close with the scent of his blood lingering on her lips and the glass resting just below her nostrils. She was too scared to finish it too quickly, what if it was all gone? What would she do?

Just as she lifted the glass to her lips, it was ripped from her cramped fingers.

Somewhere to her left Chimala was spitting like a wild cat.

“I thought I smelled him!” The glass shattered against the wall. Xander’s eyes were blazing, his fangs fully exposed, he snarled at Chimala.

“Xander don’t hurt her…” There was a resounding slap when the back of his hand met her cheek.

Her head snapped back, the ferocity was so intense, she fainted.

Xander closed in at the cowering vampire.

“I should have known he would find a way to get to her. That will end tonight.”

“She will never be yours. Get used to it.” Chimala routed her escape but she was too slow for the age old vampire’s rage.

“NOOOO! Xander please don’t! Let her go, she will tell Jon to stay away.” She recoiled when he suddenly turned on her.

“How can I believe you? You cannot be trusted.” Hurt flashed across his handsome face but it was quickly replaced with the fury she had seen moments before.

A heart stopping growl rumbled through the air.

“…and YOU are going to pay the price for this.” He swung towards the redhaired vampire.

Her chin jutted proudly forward. She knew she wouldn’t be able to escape but beg for her life…no chance in hell!

Xander moved faster than her eyes could register and by the time she could focus, there was a gurgle and a gush of blood painting the walls.

Ciara found herself wrenching at Xander’s arms, sobbing and pleading.

“Xander! Please don’t do this!” The oxygen was snapped from her throat when he suddenly turned around and crushed her windpipe, her back slammed against the wall.

“You shouldn’t interfere!” his face was bloody, Ciara swore there were flesh on his fangs but she couldn’t be sure as he surged forward, ripping through her skin.

She was about to accept her fate when she was thrown onto the bed. Her hands instinctively grabbed at the warmth spurting down her nightdress.

“Don’t fret Meli. You wont die. I’m just making sure your lover’s blood doesn’t stay too long inside you but you will live. I haven’t come this far just to see you die. As for this one…”, he kicked at the still form, “..she might die or live whichever I don’t give a damn.”

Chapter 143

Ciara sighed as she submerged her battered body in the water. Xander’s blood had made her sick again and with every heave she thought she might die, actually hoped for it. But her relief wouldn’t come and when her stomach was empty she had stumbled to the bath and turned the cold tap open in full force, letting the freezing liquid drown her pain.

“Agapi̱té theoús! (Dear Gods!)” Xander gasped from the bathroom door.

Her beautiful body was marred with bruises from her delicate neck to her painted toes. Ciara heard his shocked outcry and peaked uninterested through her eyelids.

“ Help is coming Meli. You will feel better soon, I promise.”

A “thank you”, forced through her parched lips.

“Is there anything I can do for you?”

“This is good, thanks…” she heard him move from the door.

“I’m sorry you have to suffer so badly. I never expected it to be so hard on you.”

Her gaze slid open, penetrating his.

“If you are so sorry, let me go.”

“I’ll rather die than sent you back to him.”

She turned her head but not quick enough for him to see her tears spill down her cheeks.

“Leave me in peace.”

The crunch of his heel told her he did just that.

~~~
Jon caught her scent before she even uttered a word.
“Is this the fucking time to get back to me?!” He gritted through his teeth, his eyes brewing up a storm.
“Keep you pants on rock star! Do you think its just that easy to get a peek at the woman? Its an old vampire we’re dealing with here. He’s protecting her like she was the last damn pint of blood on earth.”
“So you haven’t seen her yet?!!”
She was sure the windows rattled in their frames.
“No…BUT WAIT before you rip my head off.”
“The woman, and I’m not saying its Ciara, is very sick. Her transition isn’t going too well and Xander has requested help to ease her through the last stage.”
Jon’s eyes narrowed.
“What date is it?”
“It’s the 10th…Jon? What the hell?”
“Oh Christ! Tomorrow is the 11th. CIara’s birthday is on the 11th! Its her. Take me to her right now!”
Her hands spanned his pecs, his strength was pushing her towards the open window.
“Jon! JON! Wait please! We cant just barge in and take her. We need to think this through but I promise you if it is Ciara we will bring her back.”
“Do you really think I can just sit here and wait for you to bring her back?”
“Yes, I think you can but I need something from you first.”
“Name it..”
“Your blood. If its her she will be out of her mind by now. I know he tried to feed her but she gets sick every time. Apparently se refuses to drink from him now. She is getting weaker and now is not the time to be weak, her body is transitioning.”
“Did the fucker feed her?!” His snarl rattled her teeth.
The window panes did rattle this time…
“And that’s all you heard? Geeesh! MEN!”
“Ok sit your ass down in that chair and lets bleed you. I need to go.”
Fifteen minutes later she headed for the door but his hand closed around her.
“Bring her back to me. Promise me you will.”
“Cross my heart and hope to… Ooook that one doesn’t work. To late for that huh?” , she giggled, “If I call you, you better get your ass over there ASAP.”
“Where is there?”
“Greece”
He blinked and she was gone.
Chapter 142
“When did she runaway?”
“Five weeks or so.”
“Five weeks huh?” She bit her lower lip, staring into the distance.
“Do you know something?”
“No, why would I?” She turned from him.
“Chimala don’t fuck with me. If you know something tell me.” His hand imprinted on her slender arm.
“I’m not sure, ok?! Geesh calm the hell down. If I find something definite I’ll let you know.”
Jon headed for the shower, turning on the shower he turned towards her.
“What you still doing here? Go!”
“For a handsome guy you can be such an asshole sometimes.”
His eyes flashed, his smile mean.
“Honey, you aint seen nothin’ yet.”
Chimala escaped into the night air. She had a feeling that Ciara was the women been held captive by Andreadis. How many Enepsigos’ could be around at one particular time and what the hell was the vampire thinking? If the coven caught him in his lie, he will be destroyed. Maybe it was just what the fucker deserved.
She thought about the hope in Jon’s eyes when he had realised she knew something. As much as she disliked the little angel he was falling for, she couldn’t deny the bond they shared. Who was she to come between a vampire and his fallen angel?
Now just a quick feed and then on her way to Greece. For some absurd reason she hoped that it would be Ciara’s pretty little face she would stumble upon…
~~
Ciara thrust the sheets off her with a violence Xander hadn’t thought she possessed.
“Be still glykó mo̱ró (sweet baby). You are going to hurt yourself.”
“No…please don’t touch me..It hurts…” she shied away from his touch, burying her face in the soaked sheets.
“I’m sorry Ciara. But we need to change the bedding.” He lifted her slight frame from the bed and his heart shattered as she whimpered pitifully.
“It hurts!” her delirious eyes flickered and stared into his face. Salty beads splattered on her forehead, her body a furnace in his arms.
The servant stared wide eyed at her master. The girl had been so sick for days and yet he refused to call in the help of the coven.
“Master, maybe we should call the cov…”
“Silent! We will handle this privately.”
“Yes master.” Straightening the sheet one last time, she headed for the door in great haste.
“Bring her some ice tea.” He was leaning over the bed, placing the girl carefully on the bed. She gasped, he winced. His face was stricken at the pain he caused her.
“What do you need from me Agapeemenee? What can I do to ease your discomfort.”
“I need blood…I need HIS blood.”
She refrained from using his name these days but he was never far from her thoughts and even now in her most painful transition, she thought of him, craved him.
“I will bring you the world but that I cannot do.” His voice whispered close to her face.
“Pleaaseee let me go. I need it…I’m in pain. Xander please?”
He pushed from the bed, pacing towards the window he stared out into the darkness.
She groaned again, turning around she cradled her stomach.
She just had to feed from him, it was the only way!
“Ciara please take my vein. It will offer you some solace.” Sliding onto the bed next to her, he brushed his gown from his shoulders, exposing his olive chest.
“Agápi̱ mou…come here.” Her sweaty hair plastered on her beautiful face, her dark eyes were clouded with pain, her lips quivering as she fought the clawing monster inside her. Cradling her head gently, he coaxed her closer to his chest. Scraping his nail across his pec, he felt the blood ooze from the wound…
She tried to fight him, pushing weakly against his chest, he steeled his arms a tad more.
“Drink Ciara, please Agápi̱ mou…drink.”
Xander shuddered as pleasure zinged through his body, the first touch of her mouth was so erotic he had to remind himself not to push her onto her back and sink into her delicious body.
Her tongue lapped hungrily at the river of blood pumping from the wound, her lips closed around the wound and her suckling became stronger.
“Aaahhh…yessss…like this …O Theós ston ouranó me voi̱thí̱sei! (God in heaven help me!)”
Ciara suddenly broke the contact.
“I’m going to be sick…no…I don’t want any more!” She struggled for her freedom but Xander refused to let go until she suddenly gasp as his cruel fingers bit into her. Angry bruises welled up on her arms and he watched in horror.
She was going to die if she didn’t get the help she needed soon! Had she lost the will to live?
“I can’t do this on my own anymore.” Determination glowed in his eyes as slipped off the bed.
Her retching reached his ears and jerked him into motion.
~~
“Kýrié mou (My lord.)” Xander bowed his head respectfully.
The elder touched the dark mane for a moment.
“Échei gynaíka sas ftásei o̱rímansi̱s ti̱s? (Has your female reached her ripening?)”
Xander shook his head.
“Échete trofodoteítai ti̱s apó esás fléva? (Have you fed her from your vein?)”
He nodded.
“Pínei apó fléva mou, allá kánei víaia árro̱sto, árchonta ti̱s mou. Tha boroúsate na mou dó̱sete káti gia na dief̱kolýnoun transtition ti̱s? "
(She drinks from my vein but it makes her violently sick, my lord. Could you provide me with something to ease her transtition?)”
“O desmós me ton sýntrofó ti̱s í̱tan polý ischyrí̱. Mí̱po̱s tha arni̱theí na sas párei fléva? (The bond with her mate was very strong. Does she refuse to take you vein?)”
“Katá kairoús kánei, nai kýrié mou. Eínai ólo kai pio epímono kathó̱s oi i̱méres pernoún.
(At times she does, yes my lord. She is becoming more obstinate as the days go by.)”
“Poia eínai i̱ i̱méra génni̱si̱s ti̱s? (What is the day of her birth?)”
“Áv̱rio kýrié mou. (Tomorrow my lord.)”
“Pí̱gaine tó̱ra. Tha steílo̱ mia gynaíka gia na parakolouthí̱soun mazí ti̱s, voi̱thó̱ntas ti̱n me ti̱n telef̱taía fási̱ ti̱s metávasi̱s ti̱s
( Go now. I will send a woman to attend to her, assisting her through the last stage of her transition.)”
Chapter 141
His laugh was dark and taunting in her ears. He lifted from her and then she realized she wasn’t in her room but his. She didn’t know what was more distressing, the fact that he had brought her here or that he was undressing!
“It took you a while to realize where you are, Agapeemenee. This is where you belong. I’ve given you enough time to adjust. Like the Elder said it was time for me to make you mine in the full sense of the word. It was an embarrassment when he could still smell his scent on you.”
“Why cant you just say his name? JON…his name is JON BON JOVI.”
As soon as the taunting words left her mouth, she knew she had just signed her own death sentence.
“You never know when to stop do you?” The flashing eyes and inching fangs spelled nothing good and she shut her mouth, clutching the sheets as if they could save her from his vicious stare.
The naked man before her was magnificent. His rippling muscles glistened in the electric light, the dark patch of hair tapered down his six pack. A dark nest of hair protected his manhood and she looked quickly away as his length stood proudly from the dark nest.
“I will never be yours. You can do whatever you want but I will never be yours.” Her heart tripped when she felt the mattress dip beneath his weight. His length slid over her body, covering her completely.
“Do you know how its hurts me to hear you say that? You’ve made me so proud tonight…” He cradled her head on his hands, his arousal rubbed at the juncture of her thighs. His hard chest flattened her breasts against him. “Do you know how I suffered when each of them tasted your blood? I’ve never had the pleasure to taste you so thoroughly and I was jealous…I could kill them.”
His lips stamped tiny kisses on her shoulder, working its way allover the mounts of her breasts.
Ciara was frozen stiff, her body was burning, betraying her shamelessly.
Her scent rose from her in seductive waves, Xander threw his head backwards.
“Aaahhhhh… your body is betraying you. Can you feel it, Ciara? You cant stop it you know, just embrace it, this is what you are.”
“Never.”
With her hands held above her head she couldn’t do anything but accept her fate, closing her eyes she waited for the crunch. When it came a scream ripped from her throat. He took deep, greedy draws from her vein.
Too much loss of blood made her world spin and she felt herself tumble, without trying to find her way back she let go, embracing the mute blackness, the last thing she remembered was his urgent nudge at her thighs, opening her up to accommodate him there…
~~~

Ciara woke to the welcoming heat of a male snuggled into her back. A heavy arm was slung over her waist, the hand cupping her breast. Still hovering between slumber and reality she squirmed into the hairy lap, feeling the twitch of his manhood she purred sleepily.

“Mornin’…”

“Morning Agápi̱ mou.”

The magic was ripped right from her gut. She stiffened, trying to put space between them, he hauled her back into his aroused frame.

“Ah ah ah Glýka. Where do you think you’re going? Have you forgotten where you were?” She didn’t miss the ice in his voice.

“Let me go.” Her face was burning.

“You should stay in bed today. You’ll be weak from all the blood loss and…eehh activities of the night before.” His lips settled in the crook of her neck, soft kisses rained down on her, Ciara froze. “Your mine now Ciara. Please accept it.” His soft caress felt like torture over her skin.

“You’ll get used to my touch, give it time. Your skin is sensitive to the touch, isn’t it? Your body is almost ready to accept my seed. You will go through quite a transition but I will be here to see you through it. No harm will come to you.”

“Like last night? I had how many vampires sucking on me! Do you call it protection? You forced me to your room, fed from me and raped me? Now THAT’S what I call protection!” His arm slipped from her rigid body.

“If you stayed in your room like you were told it wouldn’t have happened.”

“I’m not a child Xander. You cant keep me caged up in your home for the rest of my life.”

“If I have to I will. When you stop behaving like a brat I might treat you like an adult.”

Xander sauntered towards the shower, he paraded confidently before her. She turned her head away...

A kiss on her lips woke her from her slumber.

“I’ll see you tonight Meli. You get some rest. You ring them when you need something to eat. I’m not going to lock you in the room so please behave, ok?”

His knuckles brushed her cheek.

“Later.” His lips touched hers one last time.

When the door clicked shut Ciara was already slumbering away.

~~

Jon wiped the sweat from his face as he sauntered towards the dressing room.

How long has it been now? Four weeks, five, six?

Ciara had vanished in thin air. No matter how hard he searched he couldn’t catch her scent.

“Hello hunkalicious.”

His face lifted from the towel.

“What you doing here? I don’t have time for you shit Chimala.”

“Grumpy are we?”

His blue eyes flashed.

She leaned closer to the sweaty man.

“You and the little lady fighting?”

“Why do you ask?” His mumbled voice came from the towel.

“Weelll...Her scent is faint and you know us woman. Give us shit and we clamp up like clams. Nada sex...zip.”

“She is gone. I dunno where she is, all I know is she has been taken by another vampire. His scent was all over her hotel room where she stayed.”

A calculated look crossed her beautiful face.

“What’s on your mind?”
