Chapter 107

Dorothea’s shocked face snapped from Ciara to Jon and back. She had almost witnessed him feeding from a...a groupie? His lover?

Jon walked towards her. His expression of moments before had disappeared and she was now staring into the face of her husband. The Jon she knew.

“I thought you were coming tomorrow morning?”

“I took an early flight.” Her gaze rested on Ciara.

Jon turned and waved Ciara closer. Her stunned face darted towards his and he smiled encouragingly.

“Ciara meet my wife Dorothea. Dot, Ciara.”

Ciara walked up to the woman, holding out her hand, Dot ignored it.

“Please to meet you.”

“Wish I could say the same.”, Dorothea’s voice was unsteady, her eyes fixed on the beautiful young woman she had seen in her husband’s arms moments before.

Ciara’s hand dropped to her side, turning slightly, she met Jon’s stare.

“Dorothea.” Jon’s warning hung in the air.

“No Jon, please. This is all my fault. I apologise. Would you please excuse me? It’s late.”

“Of course. We’ll meet you tomorrow morning at breakfast. I know Jesse would love to say goodbye to you.”

She nodded as she walked towards the door.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

Ciara closed the door with a click.

Dorothea stood frozen to the spot, her eyes brimming with tears.

“Is she the new screw in your life?”

“Dot...please.”

“No Jon! Tell me. I saw her in your arms! You were about to feed from her. Is that why you stayed away from me, because I was too scared to let you feed from me? Does she give herself freely?”

Jon shook his head. His eyes flashed warningly.

“Its not what you think Dot. She isn’t my lover and no she doesn’t give herself to me to feed from.”

“Then what was that? A quick feed and fuck?!” her voice raised a notch.

“Keep your damn voice down. Jesse is asleep in the other room.”

“Well answer me then!”

Jon reached her in the blink of an eye.

“Jealous Dot? A little too late, don’t you think?” A cruel grin flashed across his handsome face.

“You bastard! You are enjoying this aren’t you? Is this payback?”

“It wasn’t meant to be but now that you are here, to be honest... Yes. I do. It doesn’t feel so good to be on the receiving end does it?”

“Why are you so cruel?” A tear wiggled down her cheek. She could still see the woman in Jon’s arms. His eyes so intently on hers, his fangs ready to sink into her neck. Dorothea shivered.

Jon groaned, closing his eyes.

“Ciara is working for me. She does my wardrobe and she watched Jesse. Jesse loves her and I don’t want you to treat her badly because of what you saw here earlier. Its all my fault, believe me.”

“Why? What did you do? Hypnotized her? She looked damn willing to me!”

Jon sighed. He can just imagine how it must have looked to Dot.

“Her back was sore. I offered to massage it, it got out of hand...”

“You almost bit her for God’s sake! Are you in love with her Jon? Be honest.”

It almost seemed that he wont answer her, but then he met her questioning gaze.

“Yes, I think I am. She wouldn’t have a married man. So she is safe.”

“Is that really going to stop you? Her principles?”

Silence.

“You HAVE slept with her! Does she even know about it?” Dorothea was too scared to hear the answer.

“I don’t want to talk about this. Would you like to see Jesse?”

His voice told her that it was final.

“I need you to sign something first.” Fumbling in her handbag, she offered him an envelope. Jon took it from her but he knew. The inevitable was here. He ripped the envelope open and stared at the divorce papers.

“And round number two goes to Dorothea Bongiovi.”

~~

A knock drew Ciara towards her hotel door early the next morning. She opened it just to stare into Dorothea’s pale features.

“Could I please come in?”

Ciara nodded and opened the door even wider.

The room was deathly quiet. Taking a few deep breaths, Ciara rounded the back standing stiffly in her lounge.

“If its about last night...”

“It has something to do with it but not what you think.”

Standing before someone’s wife feeling like a tramp wasn’t something Ciara imagined would ever happen.

She stared silently at the woman who was obviously struggling to find the right words.

“You have to be careful when you are in Jon’s presence.”

Was she telling her to back off? Wasn’t she the one asking for a divorce?

Ciara just watched her as emotions played across her features. There was no anger, no jealously...just concern?

“You do know that I have to be in his presence daily? Why do I need to be careful of him, because of his marital status?”

Dorothea shook her head tiredly.

“I wish I could tell you to stay away from him because he was my husband but I don’t have that right anymore, as much I would like to, its not my place. I can and will however warn you to be careful of him. He is not what you think. There is much more to him than meets the eye and unfortunately he is interested in you....All I’m trying to say is, be safe and whatever you do. Do NOT piss him off.”

Ciara frowned at the woman in front of her. What kind of game was she playing?

“So you want me to pack my things and leave. Is that it?”

“That would be the safest, yes but somehow I have this feeling you wont.”

“You are right there. I’m here to work and that’s just what I’m going to do.”

“Ciara, I know you think that I’m a bitter woman right now and maybe I am. Some part of me are so jealous of the obvious attraction you to share with each other but I promise you its much more that that. I fear for you safety.”

“I thank you for your concern but I am quite capable of looking after myself. I’ll be just fine and as for the attraction. It wont lead anywhere, he is a married man. I don’t have relationships with married men.”

Dorothea stepped closer, her hand resting urgently on Ciara’s arm.

“He will be a single man soon enough and I know Jon. He is attracted to you like a moth to a flame. He is a passionate man and nothing will stand in his way if he wants anything and he wants you. Not even your own free will, will prevent him from what he wants. Jon is not what you think. If you ever let your guard down like last night, it could be the last mistake you ever make. I’m sorry I bothered you, but I just needed to warn you.”

A foreboding chilled the blood in her veins and she stared speechless at the woman. As she made her way to the door and bid her a quick farewell, she couldn’t even shake it long enough to return the greeting.

Chapter 106

He found her a few hours later in his hotel room, Jesse fast asleep in his bed and Ciara packing his suitcase for his departure the next day.
His body zinged from the energy he had drawn from the crowd, yet his body craved the loving arms of a woman and the sweet nectar pulsing from her vein in her neck. Sniffing into the air he knew that he only wanted one body, one life giving vein...
She hadn’t noticed his presence and she hummed softly while her hands folded the tiny clothes, packing it in the suitcase.  Zipping the suitcase shut, she straightened, rubbing the small of her back.
She turned, only to shriek as she saw him standing in the doorway. Her eyes flew to the bed while her hand slammed over her mouth. Her gorgeous cat eyes almost swallowed her face.
“God Jon! Don’t do that! I could have woken Jesse!”
“I’m sorry. Coffee?”
He had to put distance between them otherwise she would be on the carpet and on her back in two seconds flat.
“Uuumm...ok but then I have to go.”
She followed him into the kitchen, keeping a wary eye on him. He was so volatile these days. One minute he was blazing anger, the next sex appeal dripped from him like nectar.
“I see your back is giving you trouble again.”
“How long have you been watching me?”
“Long enough.” He didn’t meet her gaze.
“It’s not that bad. A warm bath and a bed will sort it out quick enough.”
Ciara watched as he came closer, the tiger was focused on his prey again...
Flicking a quick look, she knew there was just no way of escaping those hands. Not that she really wanted to...
“What are you so scared of Ciara? My touch? Or the feelings I stir when we touch?” His voice stroked her senses as his fingers had stroked the strings of his guitar earlier tonight.
“Jon...please. I can’t do this.” Her hands came up to ward him off but he only caught them in his. Lowering his lips, he kissed each finger, letting his mouth linger on the erratic pulse on her wrist.
“Why not? We both want this...” His lips formed the words on the palm of her hand. Ciara filled her lungs with air, holding it there.
“Have you forgotten your wife?” Her words were like an explosion of cold water in his face.  The passion was gone. In its place was hurt and anger.
“She didn’t want me, remember? She asked ME for a divorce.”
“You are still a married man, Jon. I told you...”
“.. you don’t sleep with married men. Yeah, I know.” He stepped back, brushing a hand through his hair, he blew out his breath.
Pouring the boiling water into the cups, he handed it to her, waving her towards the lounge.
“I’m so happy to see Ksenia is so much better. She is very weak though. How long will it take for her to be back on her feet again?”

Jon snickered. She would do anything to avoid what’s going on between them. Tonight he will amuse her and play along.
“A week sometimes two, she took it quite badly this time.”
Ciara looked up from her cup.
“What happened to her Jon? Who did that to her?”
“I cannot tell you that. Ksenia will tell you if she feels she can trust you.”
“I understand.”
Silence stretched between them until it became almost unbearable.
“What time is your wife coming?”
“She said sometime between 8 and 9 am tomorrow.”
“I’m gonna miss Jesse so much.  Thank you for trusting me to look after him. We got off on a bad foot at first...”
“I overreacted that night. You did a great job with my son. He loves you very much.”
Tears sprang to her eyes and she banged the cup a little bit too hard onto the table.
“I’d like to say goodbye to him tomorrow.”
“Of course. Jesse would be upset if you didn’t.”
Couldn’t I ask her to stay for the night...just tonight?
I wish I could stay the night...
Ciara got to her feet, groaning faintly, her hand went to her lower back.
“You have a bad back, don’t you?”

She blushed.

“Actually no, I don’t.  I think Jesse was a bit too heavy tonight but he was so tired. I couldn’t let him lie on the floor.”
“Is that why you left early?”
He noticed?
She nodded, watching him as he circled her. Taking her arm, he turned her back towards him.
“Let me see if I can help.”
“Its really not...” her weak protest was lost in the night air.
“Ssshhhhh...I don’t bite remember.”
Not yet anyway...
Ciara stood deathly still; she waited for the warmth of his hands to touch her body, hoping for it.
“Your muscles are as stiff as a corpse. Why so uptight?” his breath fluttered over her neck.
She shrugged, too scared to speak. One false move and she will be putty in his hands.
His strong hands gripped her shoulders, kneading firmly, she winced as his thumbs found a knot in her neck.
“That hurts huh?”
“Uhuh.” Her eyes were squeezed shut. The massage turned from pain into blissful relaxation and she relaxed a bit.
“Ciara?”
“Hhmmmm?”
“Why don’t you lie down?” she stiffened instantly.
He laughed softly.
“Oooookay. I guess thats a no? I’m not going to seduce you. I just want to steady you so I can work on your lower back. Let’s see if I can do it this way.”
His fingers lowered onto her lower back. At the first pressure she yelped.
“Its worse than I thought. Hold on honey, you’re in good hands.” She nodded, biting down on her lip. She hadn’t realised her back was this sore until he touched her there.
Spanning her hips with his hands, Jon used his thumbs to massage in strong circles. Her body grinded against the cradle of his hips as his ministrations became stronger.
“Is that better?” His mouth was moving against her neck again.
“Hhhmmm...God yes. Thats nice. HHhmmmm...right there...” Her voice dipped as he pushed into her skin again.
Jon grimaced as her ass brushed against his groin again. Her appreciative moans didn’t help the matter and he felt himself growing hard.
Ciara’s head sagged onto his shoulder and Jon felt the weight and warmth of her hair cascading down his chest. She turned her head slightly and his mouth suddenly pressed against her ticking vein...
Ciara wasn’t sure but she swore she felt a deep vibration rumbling from his chest right before his mouth tasted her neck.
Jon licked at her salty skin, his lips puckered on her, tasting her sweetness. Lifting his head, he felt his fangs rip through his gums, feasting his eyes on the pulsing in her neck, he lowered his mouth...
“Jon?!
Ciara and Jon snapped apart.
“Dot!”
Ciara stumbled to the side. Her face burning as she laid eyes on Jon’s wife for the first time.

Chapter 105

Ciara entered the dressing room a few days later after she heard a curt response to her knocking. Jon was standing in front of the mirror, a towel hugging his hips.
“You are late.” Irritation speared towards her.
Ciara swallowed as he turned accusing eyes her way. He turned around and she just managed to stop herself from retreating as he walked towards her.  She wouldn’t be able to handle any physical contact from him right now.
“I apologise but Jesse is acting up a bit and ...”
“Are you telling me my son is misbehaving?” his eyes were icy as it rested on her.
“No! That’s not what I mean. He is unhappy about returning home. He wanted to stay a bit longer.”
“Well he can’t.” He held his hand out and she handed him his pants.
“Yes I know.” Her voice wavered for a moment and his hand stilled on his towel.
The anger he felt simmering just beneath the surface was snuffed like a candle in the wind. His first smile in days wavered on his handsome lips, she seemed as vulnerable as a newborn fawn and he felt like an ass for snapping at her.
“Is that tears I see?” He stepped closer. Ciara bit down on her lip, ordering her heart to be still.
“No.” She bowed her head, her eyes fell on naked feet and she closed her eyes. Naked she could handle, a naked Jon, a totally different story.
“Liar.” His lips brushed her ear. His freshly showered scent tickled her nose, his warmth radiating from him. She could so easily lean into him, she could....
“I’m going to miss him you know. He is such a sweet boy.” Her wobbly voice somersault his stomach and he reached for her, tipping her face upwards with an index finger.
Tears turned her brilliant emerald eyes to shimmering jade pools and he just stared, sure that he had never seen such expressive eyes in his life before.
“There would be other times.”
“Of course. I think you need to get dressed. You are going to be late.”
“Scared I’ll be late or scared of naked men in general?”
Snapping her chin up, she challenged him.
“I’m not a stupid little girl, Jon. I’ve had my fair share of naked men in my life.”
“If you say so.” She saw the twinkle in his eyes too late.
His hand snapped at the towel. The towel tumbled to the floor to Ciara’s greatest consternation.
Reaching for Jon’s shirt she tried her damndest not to ogle his perfection so perfectly at display.
His taunting laugh raised her hackles and she glared at him, holding his shirt out for him.
Instead of taking it he stepped closer slipping his arm into the sleeve. Lifting his other arm to do the same he ended up rubbing up against her, his ass brushing her hips. Fire ignited between them.
As if in slow motion he turned. Ciara gasped at the passion flaring in his eyes, not sure what to do she reached for his shirt, her fingers fumbling with his buttons.
Her eyes focused on the work at hand although she could feel his burning eyes focused on her, searing her insides.
“I don’t bite you know.” Ciara jumped as the words rolled off his tongue. Jon’s face and sharp fangs flitted across her mind, she almost whimpered.
Her eyes darted towards the pearly whites. She licked her tongue nervously.
“I believe you.”
“Liar.” It was a whisper.
Not sure she could stand the sexual tension between them any longer, she moved away.
“I’m sure you can button up the last one? I’m going to get Jesse, I promised him we will watch the show tonight.”
“Scaredy cat.”  His relentless taunting turned her insides into a puddle.
~~~
Jon’s energetic body and strong voice kept the masses mesmerized. Ciara could only stare at the show unfolding before her. She had the strangest feeling of déjà vu and she shuddered as her stomach flipped for the umpteenth time.
“Daddy is going to be soooo tired tonight!” Jesse bobbed and clapped his hands as “It’s my life” filled the air, accompanied with thousands of screaming fans.
Ciara nodded at the little boy. She couldn’t drag her eyes from Jon even if she tried. His energy was astounding, his sex appeal created havoc on her and probably the rest of the women race as well.
Ciara felt someone watching her and she tore her gaze from Jon only to meet Richie’s dark smiling eyes.
He was just as she saw him in her visions. Sweaty, smiling and cradling the guitar like a precious possession, his long fingers strumming expertly, but somehow this time she didn’t feel apprehension as she watched him.
She was made for this moment and it felt so right, so real somehow. She was meant to be here tonight...
Answering his smile with one of her own she turned her attention to the lead singer once again.
The show was drawing to a close and so was Jesse’s energy. The little boy was trying his best to keep his little head from nodding and she smiled as she picked him up, feeling her heart swell with motherly love as the boy snuggled his head into the crook of her neck.
“You want commitment, take a look into these eyes. They burn with fire, just for you now. Until the end of time. I would do anything, I’d beg , I’ steal I’d die to have you in these arms tonight...”
Jon’s voice pulled at her core and her body swayed to the love song, her eyes feasting on the sweaty man making love to his mic.
As if he knew how he affected her, he suddenly met her gaze, holding it, making her feel like she was the only woman on the face of the world.
The woman with his child in his arms was driving him to the point of distraction. She was spun in his web of seduction, her thoughts turning his body into a tight ball of need and fierce want.
Ciara gasped as Jon fell onto his knees. One hand cradling the mic, the other, spanning his chest...then it suddenly shot out, reaching towards the crowd.
“I’d hold you, I’d need you. I’d get down on my knees for you. And make everything alright...”
Her heart leaped in her chest and she felt weak at the knees.  His dramatic display could turn any woman into a mess. She shook herself out of her captivated state.
Jesse’s weight bore down on her and she turned and walked away with his voice booming in her ears, promising her his undying love until the end of time...
Chapter 104
The flight to their next destination went smoothly and Ciara sighed, relieved that they had settled Ksenia into her bed without any hiccups.
Jesse was a bundle of boundless energy on the plane but by the time they have arrived the little boy was pooped, nodding sleepily on Ciara’s lap as she waited for Jon to join them.
The two men exited Ksenia’s bedroom and for the first time in what seemed like years, they smiled.
“I take it Ksenia is getting better?” She smiled hopefully.
“Yep, all the signs are there. She is going to be weak for quite some time but she is definitely on the mend.” Richie looked deathly tired.
Jon took the dead weight of his son from her lap and she stood up.
“Why don’t I keep watch over Ksenia tonight and you to get some much needed sleep? You have a show in a few days and you look like a zombie Richie. No offence.” She brushed a quick look Jon’s way. He looked well rested and as handsome as sin. Nothing seemed to faze him...ever!
For her trouble she received a drop dead gorgeous flash of pearlies. Man! This guy played havoc on her senses. She hated herself as she felt the slow lick at her core, trying to ignore the tug of want emerging from within her femininity.
“You are a sweetheart! Are you sure you want to do this? She can get quite feisty when she gets feverish.” Richie seemed unsure.
“Of course I’m sure! If something goes wrong, I’ll call you. I promise.”
“Well sweet heaven! I’m going to kill my bed tonight! Jon can I bunk at your place tonight? If I have to sleep on the couch one more time...”
“My hotelroom is empty. Why don’t you stay in mine for the night?”, Ciara offered.
Richie took one giant step towards her and left a loud smack on her forehead.
“You are an angel in disguise. Thank you Sweetie!”
Ciara giggled at his unexpected display of affection.
She had met he first gentle giant.
“You are most welcome sir.” She squeezed his arm.
A low rumble turned their heads in unison.
Jon swiftly cleared his throat, heading towards the door. A burrow between his eyebrows darkened his face.
“I’m going to get my boy to bed. See you all in the morning.”
“G’night Jon.”
~~~
Ciara stepped from the shower, towelling herself vigorously she felt her skin tingle all over. She wished this dreaded nausea spells she experienced these last couple of days would ease up or disappear all together. Her appetite was out of whack and for some absurd reason she craved something, hell knows what it was! She had tried sweet, salty, sour and spicy and none of it could appease this silly craving.  Ciara walked into the bedroom.
Ksenia was sleeping so peacefully, she had decided to clear her tired mind by taking a quick shower, dressing in her nighties and warm fuzzy gown.
There was a long night ahead of her, so she brought her book with, the best companion for a lonely night ahead.
Ciara winched as she settled into the oversized chair in the room. Her muscles felt stiff and unyielding for some reason. Her queasy stomach demanded food but she knew the moment she tried something, she’ll feel sick again. The only explanation could be that she was coming down with something and Ciara sent a quick prayer up to heaven, hoping that whatever Ksenia had wasn’t contagious.
With a steamy cup of hot chocolate and a packet of biscuits, Ciara snugged into the chair, she flipped open the book, ready to disappear into the world of fantasy and romance.
Ciara must have nodded off and she jumped slightly. Something had woken her, what it was, she wasn’t sure.
Her book was lying on the floor and she smiled, convinced that it was the culprit that woke her.
Ksenia jerked on the bed and Ciara stood up, moving towards the bed.
Her head was thrashing from side to side. Her face distorted into a mask of fear.
“No!....I’m sorry...so sorry...please don’t hurt me. Don’t put me in with them! Please no!” Her hands came up in defence, her tiny voice raising the hair on Ciara’s neck.
 Brushing the back of her hand over Ksenia’s forehead she felt the definite presence of fever again.
Racing towards the bathroom she returned with cold cloths, her voice soothing the pleading girl.
“Sshhhhh...its alright now. You have a fever again, its just bad dreams. Its ok now...” she wiped the burning forehead.
“You have to get out before they get you too.” Ciara gasped as she stared into glassy eyes of her friend. Naked fear shone from the dilated pupils.
“We are in a hotelroom Sweetie. Nothing is going to get us. We are safe.” She whispered softly while her hand stroked.
“Only Jon and Richie can protect us. They will come for us. I  don’t want them to hurt me again. See what they do?” She was wrenching on the bandage at her wrist.
“No, Ksenia. Don’t do that. You are going to hurt yourself.”
Ksenia yanked at the bandage and Ciara sit back in shock.
Two puncture wounds jumped out at her. Blood started to wiggle down her skin.
Something oppressive enveloped Ciara and she shivered in fear. Grabbing the bandage she kept herself busy by winding it back where it belonged.
“We are safe here. Everything is just fine. Jon and Richie won’t let anything happen to us.”
“They won’t let them take me back. They promised.” She turned onto her side, she had calmed down quite a bit but Ciara could feel her fever radiating from her body.
“No they won’t. Jon and Richie will keep their word.” Ciara had no idea what they were talking about but just by mentioning Jon and Richie’s names she seemed to calm down quite a bit.
“Will you please stroke my back? It hurts so bad.” Ksenia stared at her with feverish eyes.
Ciara sat on the edge of the bed. Gliding her hand over the girl’s back she bit back a sob as she felt the ripple of spasms gripping Ksenia’s back muscles.
The girl had quieted down but Ciara kept stroking, kneading softly, easing the tight knots.
Ksenia’s words played over and over in her mind; it haunted her until she broke into soft sobs.
 “Do you want me to take over?”
Ciara’s head snapped up as she stared at Jon. It almost seemed as if he had come out of the shadows.
“Where...?”
“I couldn’t sleep so I thought I’ll check up on you two, seems like I’ve arrived just in time.” His face was trained on her tear streaked cheeks.
“She’s running a bit of a fever again and she has these awful muscle spasms.” She sat back to display the rippling muscles on the girl’s back.
Jon’s eyes grew hard.
“There should be some strong painkillers in her medicine bag. Why don’t you get it for her?”
Ciara went in search for the painkillers. Coming back a few minutes later she was about to announce her failure in finding the meds when she stopped dead in her tracks.
Jon’s hands were cupping the girl’s fragile face, staring into her eyes intently, he whispered gently to her in a language she had never heard before.
Mesmerised at the scene before her she almost felt guilty when his eyes turned her way.
“I..I couldn’t find the painkillers. I looked everywhere.”
Tucking the girl in like a small child, he smiled her way. His eyes gentle, his lips pulled into a slight grin.
“She won’t be needing it after all. I think she will have a good night after this.” He stood up from the bed, closing the distance between them.
Ciara could feel her heart galloping in her ears as she watched him coming closer. Her being was pulled towards him and all she could do was watch...wait...
His breath brushed over her face as she spoke, his eyes drew her in, captured her.
“You haven’t eaten yet.”
His voice rippled down her spine.
“I had a few biscuits...”
“That’s not a meal Ciara. You have to look after yourself. Do you want me to get you something to eat?”
Ciara was lost in the sapphire jewels so close to her face, she could almost imagine the taste of his lips.
“Ciara...” his voice was a growly warning.
She blinked and took a step backwards.
“I...I’m not really hungry.” Only for you.
“Don’t say things like that!” He stepped closer.
“I didn’t....” Ciara panicked, taking another step backwards, she found herself flush with the cold wall against her back.
Jon hadn’t missed a step and was now pushed up against her, caging her between the cold wall and the warmth of his body.
“I’m hungry for you. God knows its wrong but I can’t help myself anymore...” his voice brushed her senses.
His thumb stroked the fullness of her lower lip, the rest of his fingers capturing her head to bring it closer to him.
As if her body knew him, she melted into his hardness, surrendering to his onslaught.
His tongue slipped past her parted lips, delving hungrily into her mouth, it explored, claimed.
Ciara’s hands found the springy bangs of his hair, stroking slowly, she cupped his nape, holding him so close to her.
The kiss was devastating to her senses, scorching every nerve ending. It left her shaky when he eventually pulled away.
Realisation dawned as his touch fell away. Her cheeks flared with embarrassment and without thinking she slapped him good and hard.
Shock and anger flashed in his eyes and she held her breath, suddenly terrified at the violence she saw there.
“I don’t kiss married men. Don’t ever manhandle me like that again.”
“From where I stood this was mutual. You’re only fooling yourself, no one else , but let me warn you, don’t ever do that again Ciara. EVER. I will not be held responsible for what I do to you if you ever slap me again.” He stepped back, his eyes flashing dangerously.
Ciara sagged against the wall. An icy breeze gusted through the room and when she looked up she was alone.

Chapter 103

Jon slipped from the slow breathing body. Her heart was beating slow as sleep claimed her. He took his time and brushed an intimate stare over her lovely curves, feeling a deep seated growl of male pride rise from within as he acknowledged the rosy skin of a woman been made proper love to.  Dark smudges on her left arm brought a frown to his face and he cursed himself for treating her so harshly the night Jesse got hurt.
Gathering her clothes, he dressed her slowly, whispering words of enchantment to her, making sure she stayed in her hypnotic state.
Jon had just tucked her in when his phone started pealing sharply. Answering the phone, he turned his back at her, speaking softly as to not wake her up.
“Bro’ I’m sorry to bother you, but I think I need your help. Ksenia is bad.”
“I’m on my way.” He snapped the phone shut and was just about to turn when he heard her voice behind him.
“Is everything ok? I must have fallen asleep.”
Looking down at his scratched and bitten torso he looked over his shoulder.
“That’s ok. I just brought you a blanket. I didn’t want to wake you up, you had a bad day today.”
Her cheeks pinkened suddenly and he immediately knew what she was thinking about. His body responded by growing hard instantly.
“I have to go. Richie called me.”
Ciara threw the blankets off her instantly.
“I’m coming with you. Is Ksenia ok?”
“She is very sick Ciara. There isn’t anything you can do for her. We’ve been through this before, we know what to do.”
“Well I don’t care what you say, I’m coming with.”
There was just no stopping this stubborn woman. Jon gritted his teeth and made his way towards the bedroom.
Ciara sat on the edge of the couch. Her hand clamped at the arm rest. She must have been more tired that she realised! Her head was swimming and she felt unsteady on her feet!
Jon entered the room moments later with a sleeping boy hunched against his shoulder.
“Let’s go.”
Ciara took a deep breath and stood up. Stumbling forward, her hand groped into the air to steady herself and bumped into a male bicep.
“Are you ok?” Jon’s eyes flashed.
“I feel dizzy all of a sudden. Maybe it was just a long day, I’ll be ok.” Ciara focused on his face and her eyes seemed to stop at his lips.
“There is something on your lips...” She came closer to inspect more closely but Jon flicked his tongue and it was gone. The taste of Ciara’s blood tingled on his tongue and he swallowed quickly, suppressing the saliva threatening to choke him.
Would he ever get enough of her taste?
“Ciara...Richie is waiting.”
She looked away quickly, taking her hand from his arm she walked slowly towards the door.
Jon opened the door for Ciara without knocking, flicking his head for her to go in.
They found Richie in the bedroom, a sopping, squirming girl in his arms.
“It hurts Richie, please make it stop! Call Jon! He’ll take the pain away...” she pleaded at him, her tear stricken face focused on his.
“I called him honey. He is on his way.”
“I’m here.” Jon answered grimly, his eyes trained on the couple on the bed.
The sweat soaked sheets lay crumpled at the girls waist and only Richie’s bulked prevented her nudity to be visible to the people standing at the door.
Ksenia’s head turned towards them.
“Jon! Oh God please, make this stop!” She had noticed the girl standing at Jon’s side but the pain was too intense to care, Jon had to open her vein and rid her of the fever gnawing at her insides.
“Could you please take Jesse with you and wait for us in the lounge?” It was more of an order than a request but his voice seemed unnaturally calm, unnerving Ciara even more.
What was Jon suppose to do to help Ksenia? The girl was on the brink of hysteria, pleading for Jon to help her.

Ciara took the sleeping boy from Jon and was about to walk away when a warm brush of his hand stroke her cheek.
“You feeling ok to carry him?” He was searching her face.
“Yes, yes I am.” A fuzzy tingle twirled in her core.
“Ksenia will be ok. Don’t worry about her.” She was almost sure he was going to kiss her but his hand fell away as he turned towards the bed.
Settling the sleeping boy on the couch, Ciara made her way towards the small kitchen.
Her nerves were shot and no movie or tv program would keep her attention for long. She could just as well make them all a cup of coffee.
Ksenia’s incoherent please filtered through the door, setting Ciara’s teeth on edge. What in the hell was going on there?
Whatever they were doing to her caused her pain but then again, she begged for their help...Jon’s help...
Ciara was nursing the cup in her hand and by the time she took the last sip she had lost all taste in her mouth.
Her stomach clenched nervously and when the door opened she jumped.
Jon and Richie’s strained faces searched for her and she stood up, her heart going out to them as she saw the devastating effect Ksenia’s illness brought them.
“Can I go and see her?”
Richie nodded and sank into the empty couch, accepting her offer of coffee with a slight smile.
Ciara slipped into the room. The girl was settled on a clean set of sheets, her pale features matching the bedding underneath her.
Sweat glued her long hair to her face, her shallow breathing the only sound in the room.
Ciara sank into the chair next to the bed, her eyes never leaving the sick girl’s face.
“Are you feeling better now?” She whispered.
“It still hurts but it will go away soon.” She slipped her wrist from under the sheets and Ciara gasped as she saw the bandage covering the tiny wrist.
“What happened there?” Was it blood oozing through it?”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s something that needs to be done. The only way...” her voice faltered as she tried to catch her breath.
How weak she had become in a matter of hours!
“Jon always makes it better...” Her eyelids were droopy and not long after, it shuttered close.

Chapter 102

Jon looked over at the two ragdolls slumping on the couch just as the end of the movie flicked across the screen.
A tender smile splayed across his face.
Jesse was snuggled into Ciara’s side, his little hand nestled between her breasts. Ciara’s dark curls covered half of her face, her arm holding the little boy safely in her embrace.  Long lashes shadowed down her cheeks and Jon cocked his head as her slow, rhythmic heartbeat reached his ears. Jesse’s light heartbeat matched hers and he sat, listening to the peaceful thrumming, their slow breathing filling the air.
Pulling the boy gently from her, he settled him in bed, returning to the exquisite magnet cuddled on his couch.
Should he wake her? Make love to her...feed from her? Keep her?
His hunger seemed insatiable these days but his love...no lust for her even more so.
His fangs nudged through his gums without encouragement and Jon knew instinct had decided for him.
Jon slid onto the couch, pulling her gently towards him she moaned faintly, but quieted down moments later as his hands cradled her face.
Her pliant curves hunched against his chest and he took a deep breath, savouring her scent that was hers alone. The honeyed fragrance of her mahogany curls surrounded him and he grabbed a fistful of curls, burying his face into the softness, gulping greedily at the sweet aroma.
His fingertips found the minute tick in her temples, circling it slowly, he leaned forward, murmuring,” Renuntarea la miezul noptii "ile sarut. Renuntarea la decat Bliss. I entwines organisme ca unul. Inimile renuntarea la miezul noptii calatorii, renuntarea la iubita "S" Farmece.|
“Open your eyes Ciara, show me those beautiful green eyes...”
Her eyelids flickered for a few seconds before they obeyed the gentle request. Dreamy cat eyes shined into his, her pupils dilated and hypnotic.
Lifting himself, he settled onto his knees, cradling her between his strong thighs. His fingers slipped from her temples towards her nape, cupping her head, he marvelled at the satiny feel of her hair brushing over his fingertips. Tipping her head ever so slightly, he lowered his lips, stroking her eyelids.  Soft, feathery kisses skimmed her eyelids, the tip of her nose and then...her lips. Passion overrode any sense and he crushed her lips with his, her surrender sighed into his mouth as she afforded him entrance to her warm cavern.
Their tongues duelled with each other, dancing in lovers’ embrace. Ciara’s soft curves melted into his hard frame. Her hands stroked his chest, the warmth of her hands soaked through to his skin, sending an explosion of lava through his body. Impatient hands slipped to his waist, seeking the bunching muscles underneath. The material slid higher, and with it her warm seeking mouth...
An unholy growl emitted from Jon’s fanged mouth as Ciara’s mouth meshed with the wall of his abdomen. Her fingernails scraped over his nipples and Jon’s body bucked as a blend of pain and unbearable pleasure zinged through him.
“Ooohhhh good Ciara!” Jon groaned while she treated him to her fiery ministrations, he had to swallow hard, forcing the saliva pooling in his mouth as his hunger stampeded through his gut.
His hands captured her face, stealing one more kiss from her lips he settled her against his chest, trying to beat his out of control feelings back to where it belongs. Ciara’s palms spread over his pecs , he nails raking ever so slowly over his skin. Keeping her tightly in his embrace, he rested his head on hers, breathing her essence, allowing the scent of her arousal to set a pace to his own desires.
Shock suddenly rippled through Jon and he snapped his head down, looking at Ciara in disbelief.
Two neat rows of teeth marks welled up from his chest, her passion filled eyes stared back at him, a droplet of blood on her lip taunted Jon and his fangs inched lower, the smell of his own blood charging a flare of excitement through his veins.
His fingers twined in her hair, bringing her face closer to his slightly bleeding chest he coaxed, his voice vibrating with passion and hunger, “Taste me Ciara...”
Her tongue darted out, licking at the trickle of blood oozing from the tiny punctures. Her breathy groan had him tighten his hold on her locks and he leaned back, affording her as much access as she craved. Her swollen lips rolled over his skin, her tongue flicked up and down, left to right. Ciara’s nails dug into his skin, scraping inches of red trails down his body.
Jon hissed, Ciara whimpered.
He realised he was hurting her and he gathered himself quickly, easing the tension on her scalp.
“Forgive me baby...you drive me so wild. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” It was but a hoarse whisper.
Ciara felt the cold night air on her skin as Jon eased her shirt off her shoulders, his thumbs brushed her nipples turning them into tight balls of pleasure.
She focused on the face above her. Somehow her vampire lover and Jon’s face was one. He had the strong chiselled features of Jon but the sharp fangs of her vampire. The eyes....the eyes were glowing orbs, a jumbled mixture of human and creature. She couldn’t understand how or why her mind played tricks on her. He was man and vampire, mortal and immortal fused together in one powerful, erotic package. She yielded to the knowledge and gave her passion full reign, submerging into this world her mind had thrown her into.
Jon relaxed as she abandoned her thoughts, welcoming the sweet cloak of her desire.
Her soft breasts flattened against his chest, the ample swell of her buttocks begged to be released from their clothed prison and Jon obliged, stripping her slowly.
Ciara’s hands hand a mind of their own and they fumbled with the zipper of his jeans, tugging sharply. Their naked bodies melted into each other, two lost puzzles finding its perfect match.
 Jon’s mouth nuzzled at her lips, searching for the feminine curve of her jaw. His fangs scraped hungrily over her skin, his tongue tasting the woman that causes his loins to melt...
Ciara held her breath as her lover lowered his mouth to the bulge in her neck. Where she used to feel panic she felt eager to feel his fangs sink into her flesh, his mouth sucking strongly at her vein.
Jon stilled at her thoughts...
Ciara’s hands entwined behind his head, her fingers massaged his scalp as she whispered.
“Take me....now.”
A possessive snarl was followed by a quick crunch as he sank into her neck. Ciara leaned back, exposing her neck to the hungry vampire lapping at neck. Fervour flooded Ciara’s whole being and she shuddered in ecstasy, her body melting into him, rubbing wantonly like a starved kitten against its master, begging for attention.
Jon lifted her as if she was weightless, her legs closed around his waist and he gathered her closer, his erection pressing at her sweet entrance. Pressing her into the couch, he laid her down gently. She opened like a flower in spring, arching upwards she moaned as she felt the steely moistness of his tip rubbing against her pulsing nub.  Jon’s mouth never left her pulsing vein, she felt so soft, so wet, so damn right...He stilled for a moment before he plunged into her awaiting heat.
He stole her breath with his mighty thrusts and all she could do was speak with her body, joining his unforgiving rhythm, rocking with him, giving as much as she took.
Her body tightened within and Jon deepened his penetration even more, his mind was a whirlpool of astonishing bliss as he felt her around him, flowing within him.  He could feel his own zenith tore trough his body.
“Oh....Ooooooooooooh.....Jon!” She cried as her slight frame spasmed, her eyelid fluttered open. Her mind had called to a man but she was in the arms of a vampire. She had expected his fury but there was none, his face was crooked into a satisfied smirk and flashing azure irises.
His strong body covered her own, sheltering her from the cool night air. His warm lips traced lazy kisses across her shoulders, his tongue lapped for a few moments at the puncture wounds drifting lower to nibble at her puckered pink nubs playfully.
A blanket of intimacy cocooned them in a world consisting of passionate hues of scarlet, cerise and lilac.
Ciara drifted on a cloud of fulfilment, her eyelids flickered close as her hands twirled softly over his back.

*Surrender to midnight’s kiss.
Surrender to fervent bliss.
Fervour entwines bodies as one.
Hearts surrender to midnight voyages, surrender to lover’s charms.

Chapter 101

Ciara was about to knock on the hotelroom when the door clicked open.

“We’re in the bathroom. Come join us.”

Ciara groaned as she imagined him in the bathroom all wet and na...

Why was he snickering?

Ciara gulped as her eyes glued onto the soaking wet man before her WITH clothes on. His shirt was plastered to his chest. His blonde bangs were glued to his scalp. Licking her lips nervously she could almost taste the drops running down his chest...

“Something wrong?” his devilish smile was baffling. Was his charm taps turned on 24/7?

“I’m just perfect! Why?”

“You seemed a bit ...uuhh..flustered?” His eyes burned into her already smouldering core.

Ignoring his taunting remark she focused on the boy in the towel.

“Why don’t I get you dressed before you catch a cold?”

“Scared?” his whisper taunted close to her ear. The sensual brush of his breath snagged her breath in her throat.

Taking the boy from him, she evaded his scorching stare but the electric charge as his hand brushed accidently against her breast could not be ignored and her treacherous body reacted unwillingly as her lungs contracted into a slight gasp.

~~

Dressed in his favourite pyjamas, he tagged his giraffe along with Ciara close on his heels.

Jon was waiting for them. The teasing aroma of pizza tickled their noses and they scampered closer.

“Supper is ready. Hope pizza is ok. I promised Jesse pizza sooooo...”

“Thank you. I’m ravenous!” Sitting down she licked her lips as the melted cheese on the pizza caught her eye.

“I’m ravivvenous too.” Jesse quipped, drawing laughter from the adults.

“Well....tuck in!”

Ciara sat down on the carpet, crossing her legs she settled in for a good meal.

“Are you comfortable like that?” Jon nodded towards her.

“Oh I’m perfect. I love sitting this way.” Taking a mighty bite from her pizza slice she groaned in appreciation. “Ooohhhhhmmmmmmm...now this is goooood pizza!”

Jon’s crotch caught fire and he bit viciously into his pizza. He had something else in mind to bite into but pizza had to do for now...

“I’m fuuulllll.” Jesse flopped onto the couch a while later, his little face shining from all the grease.

“Ohhhhh heck me too!” Ciara giggled, rubbing her tummy.

“Well that’s a pity I wanted to make us some milkshake but seeing as you two....”

“Milkshake! I want some daddy pleaasssee?!”

“Me too!” Ciara joined his son’s plea.

“Then you better come and help me. Jesse you choose a movie you would like to watch. We will be right back with the milkshakes ok?”

“Ok!”

“Why don’t you get the glasses I’ll get the milkshake going.”

Ciara hunted the glasses down, turning around she bumped into him, right into his arms.

With arms circling around her, she stuttered an apology.

“Apology accepted.” He didn’t let go, instead his bands of steel pulled her closer into his warmth.

Ciara’s heart drummed in her throat, clutching at the glasses she stammered.

“I’m going to drop the glasses.”

Tracing her lower lip with an index finger he smirked, “No you won’t.”

The magnetic pull was unmistakable, her body swung voluntary into his frame, her eyes locked with his morphing irises.

A flash of mauve flitted in his eyes and he drew in his breath, releasing it slowly. His unmistakable bulge pressed into her stomach and a low heat spiralled between her thighs.

His breath feathered her lips and her face lifted at its own accord. Warm, masculine lips nuzzled at her lower lip and she sighed contently.

Moistness tickled her upper lip and she opened up, welcoming his tongue.

“Why are you taking so long?” The magical thread dissipated, spewing them back to reality.

“We are...uuuhh...daddy is almost done. Why don’t we put the movie in so long?”

Ciara’s high pitched voice brought a satisfied grin to his face.

Jon balanced three glasses of milkshake in his hands when he came back a few minutes later.

“What are we watching?”

“Beauty and the beast.”

“Aaahhh the beauty falling in love with the ugly beast huh?”

“I love this movie.”

Silence stretched between them and she turned her head to meet his blazing blue eyes. So much expression in those eyes...

“It seems you have quite a bit of sympathy for monsters.”

“Excuse me?” Ciara frowned. How did he know that? Was he referring to her love for vampires?

Jon rapped himself mentally over the fingers. That was a slip up!

“Ssshhhh... the movie is starting.” He winked playfully, pointing towards the flashing screen.
